The band will be departing from Calera High School on Friday, January 18th at 7:30pm. We will have our final meeting promptly at 6:30pm in the auditorium. Drop off luggage in band room then come to the auditorium. This is when we will all get the final paperwork and information before we board the bus.
Things to remember before you leave: Do I have all my parts to my band uniform (shoes, long black socks, pants, jacket, gauntlets, and hat?) Where is my instrument and has it been labeled with my information? Do I have my ID? Did I pack the right kind of clothes (shorts are not acceptable in 34 degree weather)? Did I pack my tennis shoes? Do I have money for breakfast the next day? Do I have money for lunch and dinner on the way back? Should I bring something to eat on the bus? (YES YOU SHOULD BECAUSE WE ARE DRIVING ALL NIGHT!) Did I bring a heavy jacket? (Make sure your jacket is on the bus with you so that you will have it once we arrive in Washington DC.
Make sure you download the itinerary and look it over. All the times on there are Eastern Standard Time with the exception of the departure time on Friday.
Make sure you have your IDs with you on Friday.
You can bring blankets and pillows for the bus, but once again you are responsible for whatever you bring on the trip.
I NEED TO HAVE ALL OF THE BAND ACCOUNTS, PARENTS AND STUDENTS, FULLY PAID BY THURSDAY AT 5PM. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!
