Ensembles & Programs
Eagle Marching Band
The marching band plays a vital role in the success of the band program at Calera High School. The marching band consists of students from 8th-12th grades. The marching band is the program’s primary link to the community at large, and one of the most enjoyable aspects of the band program for many students. The band performs nightly at the school’s varsity football games throughout the fall season, as well as at numerous parades, pep rallies, and other events throughout the academic year. The marching band is open to student members of any class ensembles. All rehearsals and most performances occur after school, typically on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons and Friday nights. Participation in the Drum Line requires an audition during May before the season starts, as well as extra weekly rehearsals (usually on Wednesday afternoons) independent of the rest of the marching band.
